NEW YORK, July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Bonanza Creek Energy Inc. (NYSE: BCEI) will replace Capella Education Co. (NASD: CPLA) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open of trading on Wednesday, August 1. S&P SmallCap 600 constituent Strayer Education Inc. (NASD: STRA) is acquiring Capella Education in a deal expected to be completed soon pending final conditions.
Bonanza Creek Energy engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of onshore oil and associated liquids-rich natural gas. Headquartered in Denver, CO, the company will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Sub-Industry index.
