Mandalay Resources Corporation ("Mandalay" or the "Company") (TSX: MND) (TSX: MND.WT) is pleased to announce the results of its Annual General Meeting, held on June 17, 2011.
Election of Directors
At the meeting, the following directors were re-elected to the Company's Board of Directors ("Board"): John Byrne, Brad Mills, Braam Jonker, Sanjay Swarup, Robert Doyle, Tony Griffin and Peter R. Jones. After the meeting, John Byrne resigned as Director and Chairman of the Board for personal reasons. Braam Jonker will serve as Interim Chairman.
Brad Mills, Chief Executive Officer of Mandalay said, "On behalf of the Board, I'd like to thank John Byrne for his contribution and service to the Company over the years. We wish him well in his future endeavours."
Appointment of Auditors
The Company appointed Deloitte and Touche as external auditors for the coming year.
Approval of Amended and Restated Stock Option Plan
The Company's amended and restated stock option plan was approved by shareholders. Further details regarding the option plan can be found in the Company's management information circular dated May 19, 2011, which is available at www.sedar.com.
