Centric Energy Corp. Announces Appointment of VP-Exploration

LONDON, ENGLAND -- (Marketwire - Sept. 8, 2010) - Centric Energy Corp. (TSX VENTURE: CTE) ("Centric") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. C. G. (Chris) Lewis as its Vice President - Exploration, effective immediately.

Mr. Lewis has almost 20 years' experience in oil exploration. He graduated in physics from Imperial College in London and then joined Conoco UK as a member of the Murchison Field Exploitation Team. Subsequently he held positions as a Geophysicist and Director with Troy-Ikoda (now RPS Energy Consultants) including periods when he focused on east and west Africa, and Exploration and Production Manager with Regal Petroleum. In 2005 Chris formed Zeta Petroleum and was its CEO until late 2009.

Chris has been directly responsible for or involved in oil and gas discoveries in Europe, Africa and Australasia and at Zeta built a portfolio of exploration and development assets in Turkey and Romania and conducted seismic and drilling campaigns. In addition, Chris has worked on exploration and new ventures projects in east, west and north Africa, including operated exploration acreage, license evaluations leading to successful PSC awards, new ventures evaluations leading to successful acquisitions, and oil discoveries.

In connection with his appointment Mr. Lewis has, subject to regulatory approval, been granted stock options to purchase up to 500,000 common shares of Centric. Each option is exercisable to acquire one common share of Centric at a price of $0.15 until September 8, 2015. The options will vest in accordance with Centric's stock option plan.
