Bengal Energy Announces Executive Appointment
CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bengal Energy Ltd. (TSX:BNG) (“Bengal” or the “Company”) announces the appointment of Mr. Scott Megaffin, CA, CFA as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective September 29, 2017.
Mr. Megaffin brings to Bengal a strong technical background, coupled with hands-on experience in all aspects of corporate finance, business development, and capital markets for public companies. Previously, Mr. Megaffin served as the manager of Business Development and Budgeting and Planning for Pengrowth Energy Corp., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed intermediate Canadian oil and natural gas producer with thermal and conventional assets. Prior thereto, he worked in oil and gas equity research with a Calgary based investment bank. He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 2004 and a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute in 2009.

Mr. Megaffin will be replacing Mr. Jerrad Blanchard, who has served as Bengal’s Chief Financial Officer since 2013 and is resigning from the Company to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Blanchard will continue to provide transitional assistance to the Company on an as-needed basis until November 30, 2017.
