CALGARY, Aug. 26, 2016 - Santa Maria Petroleum Inc. (formerly Quetzal Energy Ltd.) (NEX:SMQ.H) today announces its unaudited results for the six months ended June 30, 2016. Copies of the Company's unaudited interim condensed financial statements and related Management's Discussion and Analysis ("MD&A") are being filed with Canadian securities regulatory authorities and will be made available under the Company's profile at www.sedar.com. All dollar figures are expressed in United States dollars unless other stated.During the year ended December 31, 2013, the Company sold or withdrew from three of its working interests in Colombia and on January 31, 2014 it sold substantially all of its remaining assets and liabilities. As a result, it does not have an operating business as of the date of this press release.
The common shares of the Company traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "SMQ" until February 5, 2014 when its listing was transferred to the NEX board of the TSXV under the symbol SMQ.H.
