Cub Energy Inc. Appoints General Counsel

HOUSTON, TEXAS--(Marketwired - Aug 28, 2013) - Cub Energy Inc. ("Cub" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:KUB) announced today, subject to regulatory approval, it has appointed Rebecca Gottsegen, as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer.

Ms. Gottsegen has twenty years of legal experience representing private and public companies (as inside and outside counsel) in a variety of areas, including labor and employment legal compliance, risk management, corporate governance, compensation/benefits, due diligence and talent acquisition and succession planning. Just prior to this appointment, Ms. Gottsegen served as General Counsel of Pelicourt Ltd (Cub's majority shareholder), assisting the Company with legal compliance and corporate governance matters.

Rebecca graduated with honors from Loyola University School of Law in 1993. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is "AV" peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
