S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Deletion from the S&P/TSX 60 Index

TORONTO, April 30, 2015 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM) has announced the receipt of all regulatory, shareholder, exchange and court approvals for its transaction with Repsol SA (MCE:REP). The shares of Talisman Energy will be acquired by Repsol in exchange for $US8.00 cash for each share. The shares of Talisman Energy will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite, Capped Composite and Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX 60, 60 Capped, 60 ESG and 60 Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Capped Energy, the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend, the S&P/TSX Equal Weight Oil & Gas, the S&P/TSX High Income Energy and the S&P/TSX Composite High Beta Indices after the close of trading on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Franco-Nevada Corp. (TSX:FNV) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Completion Index and added to the S&P/TSX 60, 60 Capped and the 60 Equal Weight Indices. Franco-Nevada will not be added to the S&P/TSX 60 ESG Index at this time. Also, Franco-Nevada will be added to the S&P/TSX 60 Equal Weight Index at a relative weight equal to the relative weight of Talisman Energy at the close on May 7, 2015.
