CALGARY, April 10, 2014 - Canamax Energy Ltd. ("Canamax" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CAC) is pleased to announce the following:
1. The appointment of Ian Buchanan as Corporate Secretary of the Company; and
2. The grant of options to directors, officers and consultants of the Company.
Appointment of Corporate Secretary
Effective today, Ian Buchanan has been appointed as the Company's Corporate Secretary. Mr. Buchanan served as Senior Vice-President & Corporate Counsel of Pure Energy Services Ltd. from October 2006 to October 2012 (when Pure Energy was acquired by Houston-based FMC Technologies Inc.). From October 2012 through February 2014, Mr. Buchanan acted as Manager, Human Resources and Administration of FMC Technologies Canada Ltd. Mr. Buchanan has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 1989.
Grant of Options
The Board of Directors of the Company has today approved a resolution to grant an aggregate of 934,999 stock options ("Options") to acquire common shares of the Company to certain of the Company's directors, officers and consultants pursuant to the Company's Stock Option Plan. The Options have an exercise price of $1.36. The Options granted to the Company's officers and directors are for a term of 5 years, with one-third of the Options vesting immediately and one-third of the Options vesting on each of the first and second anniversaries of the grant date. The Options granted to the consultants are for a term of 2 years, with one-quarter of the Options vesting on each of July 9, 2014, October 9, 2014, January 9, 2015 and April 9, 2015.
