Oslo (2012-10-31): Gerd Löbbert is appointed head of Yara Upstream, effective 1 December 2012.
Dr. Löbbert, a German national with a PhD in Chemistry, brings extensive experience from leading positions at BASF and Borealis.

Gerd Löbbert will be member of Yara's Executive Management Team and report to Jørgen Ole Haslestad. Jan Duerloo will assume the role of Head of Production working closely with Dr. Löbbert.
The Upstream segment manages Yara's global production of ammonia, finished fertilizer and industrial products, which are marketed by the Yara Downstream and Yara Industrial segments.
