Seven Generations appoints industry veteran Derek Aylesworth as Chief Financial Officer
CALGARY, Alberta, Feb. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Energy industry veteran Derek Aylesworth will join Seven Generations Energy Ltd. March 15, 2018 as its Chief Financial Officer responsible for the company’s finance, treasury, accounting, tax and capital markets functions.

Aylesworth is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Painted Pony Energy Ltd. and was previously Chief Financial Officer at Baytex Energy Ltd., assignments where he was primarily responsible for capital markets, financial reporting and compliance, financial risk management, tax and treasury functions. Before that, Derek held senior management and financial positions in international business units of Encana Corp.. Derek began his professional career at Ernst & Young. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
As announced in November 2017, 7G’s current CFO Chris Law will become Executive Vice President, Strategy Management once Aylesworth joins the company.
