New Zealand Energy Appoints Mike Adams as CEO
Wellington, New Zealand--(Newsfile Corp. - July 6, 2015) - New Zealand Energy Corp. (TSXV: NZ) (OTCQX: NZERF) ("NZEC" or the "Company") today announced it has appointed Mike Adams as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") to replace current CEO, David Robinson, whose resignation was announced on 23 April 2015. Mr Adams has commenced with the company today. There will be a period of handover from Mr Robinson with Mr Adams formally assuming the CEO role on 17 July 2015.
Mr Adams qualified with M.Sc. (Hons. Physics) B.Sc (Physics, Geology) and has 30 years of operational and reservoir engineering experience foremost in New Zealand, but also in Australia, the Middle East and the North Sea. During the initial stages of Mr Adams' career he worked for the New Zealand national oil company, Petrocorp, where he was involved in initial appraisal and development of the Waihapa field (New Zealand's second largest onshore oil field), development of the McKee field (New Zealand's largest onshore oil field) and discovery of the Mt Messenger accumulations at Kaimiro. He next worked overseas including engagements with BHP Petroleum and QGPC (Qatar) before returning to New Zealand in 1996 to work for Fletcher Challenge Energy focused in particular on enhanced recovery projects in various Taranaki fields. He set up his own reservoir engineering consultancy in 1999 and has been involved in many successful project assignments both in New Zealand and overseas, most recently including tenure with Belltree UK where he has been technical manager for a 16 man consultancy leading international projects covering prospect evaluation, field appraisal and development planning and EOR.
