Eagles For Education to Boost Education Nonprofit Benefits

Top Golf Pros Have a Higher Goal - Sink Shots to Help Students
Chevron announced today that it is increasing its donation commitment to
the Chevron World Challenge′s nonprofit partners for every eagle scored
during tournament play through its Eagles For Education program. Held
December 1 ? December 4, the Chevron World Challenge brings together the
PGA Tour′s top-ranked players for four days of competition for a $5
million purse at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Chevron will donate $12,500 to the tournament′s nonprofit partners for
every eagle scored during the first day of tournament play as part of
its Eagles For Education program. Chevron will double the donation
amount for every day of play from $25,000 on Friday to $50,000 on
Saturday and through the championship round on Sunday, December 4 when
each eagle will be worth $100,000. Last year′s Eagles For Education
competition raised an additional $530,000 dollars for the nonprofit
partners.
Competition is expected to be fierce. This year′s tournament once again
includes a world-class field, with the possibility of low scores and
plenty of birdies and eagles to spur friendly rivalry. Thousands of
students will benefit from this thrilling match play, as the five
nonprofit beneficiaries see their donations climb as the pros battle on
the course.
