Chevron Products Company, a Chevron U.S.A. Inc. division, maker of the
Delo ? brand of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants and
coolants, today released a new case study highlighting the performance
of Delo 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 and Delo Extended Life Coolant at PT
Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) copper mines located on the Indonesian
island of Sumbawa.
PTNNT operates a fleet of 111 Caterpillar ? 793 Haul Trucks, which run 24
hours a day, seven days a week, under harsh mining conditions. The
trucks are powered by Cat ? 3516 engines and typically experience 500
hours oil drains and 12,000 coolants service cycles. PTNNT uses Delo 400
Multigrade SAE 15W-40 and Delo Extended Life Coolant to protect its
engines. After a complete engine teardown and inspection of one of the
Cat 3516 engines following 18,600+ hours of operation, PTNNT found the
engine components in 'pristine condition? with minimal wear.
