VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - April 9, 2009) - Motapa Diamonds Inc. (TSX VENTURE: MTP) ("Motapa") announces that Dr. Theodore Laub has tendered his resignation from the board of directors of Motapa effective April 6, 2009. "Dr. Laub's contributions as a director of Motapa have been invaluable to the board and we greatly appreciate his efforts and insights over the past six years," noted Larry Ott, Motapa's CEO.
The resignation has been tendered to Motapa in connection with the sale of 3,776,225 common shares directly or indirectly controlled by Dr. Laub. Motapa has been advised that the sale of the common shares of Motapa by Dr. Laub was conducted through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange on April 3, 2009.
