Frankfurt: NPK - "Northland" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that the
technical review in support of the update of the Definitive Feasibility Study
("DFS") on its Kaunisvaara Iron Concentrate Project has been filed on SEDAR and
is now available to download from the Company's website.  On May 18, 2011,
Northland announced an update of the positive outcome of the DFS on the
Kaunisvaara Project, confirming the logistic solution and a NPV of USD 934
million.

Northland is a development-stage mining company with a portfolio of iron ore
projects in northern Sweden and Finland. The Company's Kaunisvaara Project will
