TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/18/11 -- Minemakers (TSX: MAK)(ASX: MAK)(NSX: MMS) is very pleased to announce that it has attracted Mr Michael Hannington to the position of Managing Director and CEO of TNT Mines Limited. He has taken up the position from 17 March 2011 and his immediate task will be to supervise the listing upon the ASX of TNT Mines, which is currently scheduled for completion near the end of the second quarter 2011.
As previously announced, Minemakers is demerging its exciting tin, tungsten and fluorspar projects in Tasmania into TNT Mines, and there will be an in-specie distribution of shares in the new company to shareholders of Minemakers.
Until recently, Mr Hannington was Managing Director of Alchemy Resources Ltd. Michael is a qualified geophysicist and lawyer with a career spanning exploration, project development and mine operations in Australia and North America with Geopeko, North Limited and Oxiana Limited.
