Esher, 06.05.2009 - Der CEO Herr Kaprelian gibt einen Strategiewechsel der KIG Mining Plc. bekannt. Die Gesellschaft verlagert ihren Fokus von West-Afrika (Liberia) nach Süd-Afrika, um in für Diamantenreichtum bekannten Gebieten die Aktivitäten zu steigern. Der Grund dieser Neuausrichtung ist die Risikoreduzierung in West-Afrika einhergehend mit einer raschen Erschließung von produktionsfähigen Projekten. Ein überarbeiteter Businessplan wird mit anderen relevanten Details in den nächsten Tagen veröffentlicht werden. Ausführliche Informationen werden daraufhin auf der Unternehmens-Webseite abrufbar sein.Die KIG Mining Plc. befindet sich derzeit in positiven, fortgeschrittenen Verhandlungen zur Übernahme verschiedener Gold- und Diamant-Minen-Projekten. Dank des hohen finanziellen Rückhalts durch Investoren der Gesellschaft schreiten diese Akquisitionen rasch voran.
Im Zuge der Hauptversammlung am 14. April 2009 wurden zwei neue Vorstände gewählt. Herr Hendrik J. Gerber und Herr Lameh Fares verstärken nun das Team mit Ihren jeweiligen Kompetenzen.
Am Tag der Hauptversammlung war das Grundkapital in insgesamt 186.102.998 Stammaktien eingeteilt.

Esher, 06.05.2009 - The chairman, Mr. Kaprelian has reported on strategic changes to the Company's prime business of mining operations. The company's focus is to move from West Africa (Liberia) and to intensify operations in southern Africa, historically known for its diamond rich areas. The motive behind this move of focal point is the reduction of the risks in West Africa and to exploit higher volume production. KIG Mining Plc is at the time of this announcement in positive and advanced negotiations with the acquisition of various mining operations, both diamond and gold. These acquisitions are progressing swiftly at present.

The shares in capital issued were totalling 186,102,998 ordinary shares up to the date of general meeting in April 2009
