Chevron Appoints New Chief Procurement Officer

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) today announced that Maria Lindenberg was
appointed chief procurement officer, effective Jan. 1, 2013. Lindenberg
succeeds Leo Lonergan, who will retire from the company Feb. 1, 2013,
after 36 years of distinguished service.
'Over the last seven years, Leo led the transformation of our
Procurement and Supply Chain Management organization into a highly
skilled, enterprise-focused function, delivering strong supplier
engagement,? said Executive Vice President Jim Blackwell. 'During his
tenure as chief procurement officer, Leo demonstrated a passion for
integrity and transparency in all third-party relationships and served
as a key member of our senior management team. We thank Leo for his many
years of service and contributions to Chevron.?
Lindenberg, who most recently was general manager of Supply Chain
Management for Chevron′s Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit, will
oversee Chevron′s enterprisewide supply chain management activities. She
will reside in Houston, Texas.

experience in the oil and gas industry into her new role,? Blackwell
said. 'Her functional knowledge and international industry experience,
coupled with her proven leadership and relationship management skills,
enables her to continue Chevron′s drive for supply chain management
excellence.?
Lonergan, who began his career in 1976 with Caltex New Zealand, was
appointed chief procurement officer in 2005.
Lindenberg joined Chevron in 2007 as vice president, Global Downstream
Procurement. She then moved to general manager, Contracting and
Procurement for Chevron Project Resources Company, and assumed her most
recent assignment based in Luanda, Angola in 2011
