ExxonMobil
Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company, a division of Exxon
Mobil Corporation, is launching a new line of motor oil. Mobil Super is
a comprehensive line of premium-quality motor oils expertly formulated
to help reduce wear, prevent sludge and extend engine life. Backed by
the Mobil
Super Engine Guarantee, the Mobil Super family of products is
designed to help cars run longer and better.
To help kick off the launch, and in celebration of the start of baseball
season, baseball legends will host oil Changeup Days at designated Mobil
1 Lube Express locations across the country. Customers will have an
opportunity to watch their favorite former baseball players go under
their hoods and change their oil to Mobil Super. The program provides
baseball fans with a chance to meet legendary players and win baseball
tickets and autographed merchandise.
During April and May, baseball stars in eight U.S. cities will team up
with employees at Mobil 1 Lube Express locations to introduce drivers to
the new Mobil Super family of products. These cities include:
Milwaukee, April 8, Jim Gantner
New York, April 15, Tommy John
Chicago, April 22, Ron Kittle
Miami, April 22, Andre Dawson
Denver, April 29, Dante Bichette
Philadelphia, April 29, Greg Luzinski
Dallas, May 6, Jim Sundberg
Boston, May 6, Fred Lynn
'The Mobil Super line is designed to promote long engine life, and since
baseball is known for its long season, it is a natural fit,? said Rob
Shearer, Americas marketing advisor, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum
Specialties Company. 'We believe that many Mobil Super purchasers are
avid baseball fans and would enjoy an opportunity to rub elbows with a
baseball legend. The Changeup Day events are an exciting way to
introduce this family of premium motor oils to drivers.?
ExxonMobil and ESPN Radio are also introducing the Mobil Super
Protection Award. This program gives fans the opportunity to vote for
the pitchers that perform and protect, just like Mobil Super. Fans
decide which pitchers they feel protected their team′s lead each week.
At the end of each month, the winners will go head-to-head, with fans
voting for one outstanding pitcher to receive the Mobil Super Protection
Award. In addition, one lucky voter will win a trip to the spring
training location of his or her choice to watch his or her favorite team
get ready for the regular season. Runners-up (two per month) will win
$50 gift cards. For more details on the Mobil Super Protection Award, go
