Adelaide, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Valence Industries (ASX:VXL) is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced industry executive Robert Mencel as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr Mencel joined Valence Industries on 17 August 2015 and will work closely alongside CEO & Managing Director, Christopher Darby as the company ramps up production at its Uley Graphite(TM) facilities and pursues expansion opportunities.
Mr Mencel is a business executive with more than 25 years experience in the steel and mining industry, having held senior operational and management roles most recently with Ironclad Mining as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer focused on finalising the commissioning and operating plans for production. As a mining engineer Mr Mencel has extensive experience developing and operating a wide range of engineering, mining and mineral processing operations including for Mt Gibson Iron, WMC, Normandy and North Flinders Mines.
