Reconafrica Announces Appointment Of Corporate Secretary

VANCOUVER, Sept. 2, 2022 - Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. (the "Company" or "ReconAfrica") (TSXV: RECO) (OTCQX: RECAF) (Frankfurt: 0XD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Borthwick to the position of Corporate Secretary.

Ms. Borthwick is a corporate finance and governance professional with over 25 years' experience in senior corporate finance and governance roles providing advice and support to various Canadian public-listed issuers on the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, Canadian Securities Exchange and OTCMarkets. She is the Founder and Principal of Peakshore Consulting Inc. since January 2013 and Vice President, Corporate Finance of Fiore Management & Advisory Corp. since July 2020. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Corporate Secretary of Endeavour Mining Corporation.

ReconAfrica is a Canadian oil and gas company engaged in the opening of the newly discovered deep Kavango Sedimentary Basin, in the Kalahari Desert of northeastern Namibia and northwestern Botswana, where the Company holds petroleum licences comprising approximately 8.5 million contiguous acres.
