KGL Resources Ltd. Drilling Extends High-Grade Zones at Bellbird

17.04.2015 | 2:17 Uhr | ABN Newswire
Brisbane, Australia (ABN Newswire) - KGL Resources (ASX:KGL) is pleased to announce that reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Bellbird has continued to extend high-grade mineralisation. Significant results from this program include:

Bellbird

KJC111 5m @ 1.35% Cu, 4.3g/t Ag, 0.03g/t Au from 353 m
12m @ 2.6% Cu, 9g/t Ag, 0.06g/t Au from 361 m
KJC108 4m @ 2.03% Cu, 9.1g/t Ag, 0.14g/t Au from 338 m
KJC109 3m @ 2.25% Cu,11.3g/t Ag, 0.16g/t Au from 293 m
6m @ 3.73% Cu, 19g/t Ag, 0.16g/t Au from 298 m

A ~10,000m RC drilling program was commenced in early February at the Bellbird, Marshall-Reward and Green Parrot Resources. Particular emphasis was placed on targeting poorly drilled portions of these resources that have potential for high-grade mineralisation and are within the proposed open pits or close to planned underground mine development.

KJC111 and KJC112 were designed to in-fill drilling near a gap in the resource at the southern end of Bellbird (Figure 2). KJC111 intersected a broad zone of copper mineralisation (12m @ 2.6% Cu from 361 m) within the main Bellbird resource that will have a positive impact on the resource. KJC112 intersected the shallow Bellbird East zone that included 2m @ 2.28% Cu, 1.08% Pb, 0.59% Zn, 16.3g/t Ag from 27 m. This intersection is on the margin of the Bellbird pit and will be the target of further drilling towards the end of this program.

KJC109 was designed to test between two high-grade lenses within the moderate north plunging Bellbird resource. Two zones of copper mineralisation were intersected, including 6m @ 3.73% Cu from 298m, confirming the high-grade mineralisation is continuous.

An additional five holes KJC002-3,7 and KJC004, -5, -8 were drilled to test for extensions to Bellbird North and Bellbird Central respectively. A northern extension to Bellbird Central resource has been confirmed.

Simon Milroy, the Managing Director of KGL Resources comments, "In-fill drilling around high-grade lenses at Bellbird has continued to generate good results that will result in improvements in the resource tonnes and grade. Similar results are anticipated from the drilling at Marshall-Reward and Green Parrot where drilling is nearing completion".

Drilling is anticipated to be completed next week with additional geological mapping, soil sampling and research work planned. Assay results from the drilling are anticipated over the next 4 weeks. These will feed into an updated resource estimation that is anticipated to be completed in July 2015.
