Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Dynasty Gold Corp. (TSX-V: DYG) (FWB: D5G) (OTC: DGDCF) ("Dynasty" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the fall winter 2018 exploration and drill program focusing on six drill targets on the Thundercloud property, in the central Wabigoon greenstone gold belt, 47 kilometres southwest of Dryden, Ontario.
Following the rock chip sampling program completed on the West Contact targets, this phase of the program will prioritize drill targets in the West Contact area and Pelham zones as reported in a news release on August 22 (see Stockwatch). The proposed program will first focus on trenching in the West Contact area, centering on the Glatz outcrop where recent rock chip samples returned 3.03 g/t gold over 30 meters. The second trench target is 400 meters to the south of an area identified by Teck in 2008 where rock chip samples returned up to 9.42 g/t gold. The goal of the proposed trenching is to extend the known mineralization and to acquire additional structural data on the gold system to confirm potential test drill targets. Following the trench program, a minimum of three follow-up diamond drill holes are planned to confirm and aid in understanding the extent and nature of the mineralization. Positive results are expected to be followed up in a second phase drill program.
The program will also include at least three drill holes in the Pelham Zone to extend the historic drill results as well as to test the projected northeast plunge to the mineralization. Drilling will also test the potential for a possible footwall gold zone parallel to the main Pelham Gold Zone (currently hosts a non-compliant historic resource estimate of 300,000 oz at 1.6 g/t gold).
In addition to the above, the extensive database of geochemical soil and rock sampling, magnetic and IP surveying and drilling by previous operators has provided numerous targets that have seen limited follow up. Simultaneously with the program outlined above, it is expected that further targets for drill testing could be confirmed.
