("Aura Minerals" or the "Company") (TSX: ORA) announces that Mr. Fausto Taddei is stepping down as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective June 29, 2012. The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rory Taylor, CA (SA) as Interim Chief Financial Officer in his stead.
Mr. Taylor is a seasoned finance professional with experience in senior roles at large international companies with a broad global exposure. He has a proven track record in the mining industry, including his current role as Group Treasurer of Aura Minerals, and previously Vice President, Finance - Mining Operations at Endeavour Mining Corporation, and Vice President, Finance at Crew Gold Corporation.
