Perseus Mining is pleased to announce details of its revised Life of Mine Plan for the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana. The revised LOMP is based on seven open pits designed using US$1,200/oz pit shells, containing 6% less gold than the previous LOMP but requiring mining of 15% less ore and waste, resulting in material cash flow benefits.

Perseus Mining wishes to advise the scheduled dates for the release of important upcoming announcements. The Company will release a statement detailing the revised Life of Mine Plan for its Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. This announcement will include discussion on costs as well as technical parameters announced on September 18, 2013.

Perseus Mining advises that Mr Rhett Brans and Mr Neil Fearis will step down from the Company's Board of Directors upon completion of the Annual General Meeting on 15 November 2013. Both Mr Brans and Mr Fearis are founding directors of the Company having been appointed in May 2004. Following their appointment, the Company completed its initial public offer of securities and listed on the ASX.

Perseus Mining is pleased to announce a net profit after tax of $41.4 million, or 9.0 cents per share, for the 12 months ended June 30 2013. Profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent (i.e. excluding minority interests) of $38.4 million or 8.4 cents per share, representing a return on equity of 8.0% or a return on total funds employed of 7.2%.
