Calico Resources Corporation (TSX-V: CKB) ("Calico" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has received all necessary regulatory approvals and closed its non-brokered private placement (the "Private Placement") financing announced on May 6, 2015.
The Company issued 25,000,000 common shares in this Private Placement, raising total gross proceeds of $2,000,000. No warrants, commissions or finder's fees were paid in connection with this financing.
All securities issued by the Company in connection with the private placement are subject to a statutory hold period which expires on September 29, 2015.
FCMI Parent Co., a Company controlled by Albert D. Friedberg and members of his family, subscribed for 14.9 million shares in this Private Placement, increasing its ownership in Calico to approximately 19.9%.
Proceeds from the Private Placement will be used to continue the permitting process for Calico's 100% owned Grassy Mountain gold project in Oregon and to fund general working capital requirements.
