SHEDIAC, Apr 11, 2011 - Sami Dabbas, Chief Operating Officer of MCW Energy Group Ltd. ("MCW") (FRANKFURT: MW4), was invited this week to join SIGMA's Fuel Supplier Relations Committee and SIGMA's Marketer Operations Committee.
SIGMA, founded in 1958, is a non-profit, national trade association representing the most successful, progressive, and innovative independent motor fuel marketers and chain retailers in the U.S. SIGMA's 270 corporate members command 37 percent of the petroleum retail market in the U.S., accounting for over 59 billion gallons of motor fuel sales annually.
SIGMA's prestigious Fuel Supplier Committee includes well known industry veterans Randy Jones of IPC USA, Gerald Nesssnson of ValvTech Petroleum, and Brain O'Dell of O'Dell Oil.
Mr. Dabbas brings to SIGMA over thirty years of experience in the petroleum business, having purchased his first Shell station in Van Nuys, CA in 1980. During the course of a few years Mr. Dabbas acquired several additional service stations and sold fuel under every major brand including Chevron, Texaco, Shell, Valero, Union 76, and Arco. In 1997, Mr. Dabbas was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of First Investment of Technology Company. This position followed a series of assignments of increasing responsibility.
Mr. Dabbas now serves as Chief Operations Officer of MCW Energy Group. In this position, Mr. Dabbas is responsible for managing the operations and ensuring the company is focused on achieving its strategic vision and is responsible for global expansion, supply procurement and acquisition activities.
