Brisbane, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Further to our announcement of 17th November 2010, Carbon Energy Limited (ASX: CNX) (PINK: CNXAF) advises that it has been working closely with the Queensland Government Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) to expedite any clarifications or amendments that maybe required to environmental conditions for the Company`s Bloodwood Creek site.
These revisions reflect the outcome of the recent environmental evaluation and the Company's proposed mitigation measures in relation to the containment of process water on site.
Following discussions, Carbon Energy has submitted the required supporting documentation to DERM for their review and approval. It is anticipated that once approved, the revised environmental conditions will be issued to Carbon Energy enabling the Company to proceed with the initiation of UCG Panel 2 to enable commencement of syngas production.
A response from DERM is anticipated in approximately 3 weeks.
The Company continues to work proactively with DERM in an effort to expedite this process to ensure that UCG Panel 2 can be commissioned as soon as practicable.
