Canyon Announces Corporate Update

Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Canyon Copper Corp. ("Canyon" or the “Company”) (TSX-V: CNC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian Crawford as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”).  Mr. Crawford replaces Mr. Kurt Bordian who has resigned as the CFO.  The Company wishes to thank Mr. Bordian for his time and contributions to Canyon over his tenure.

Mr. Crawford, a chartered accountant, holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and has over 30 years of experience providing business advisory and corporate finance services to private and public companies.  A former partner in a national firm of chartered professional accountants, Mr. Crawford is currently the CFO, Corporate Secretary and a Director of several Reporting Issuers.
