VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Sep 5, 2016) - Eastern Platinum Ltd. ("Eastplats" or the "Company") (TSX:ELR)(AIM:ELR)(JSE:EPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Bielin Shi as a member of the board of directors of Eastplats. Dr. Shi is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and has over 30 years' experience in the global mining and metals industry. Dr. Shi is currently the Chief Geologist at Pei Si International (Beijing) Co. Ltd.
Additionally, Mr. George Pirie has resigned from the board of directors. Eastplats would like to thank Mr. Pirie for his contributions as a director.
