Torque to Reschedule Annual and Special Shareholder Meeting Date

LONDON, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire - June 22, 2011) - Torque Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TQE) advises that due to a number of unforeseen procedural delays in respect of its proposed triangular merger with Eurogas, none of which are related to the merits of the transaction, its Annual and Special General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for June 30th is being rescheduled to later this summer. Torque will announce the new date for the meeting as soon as it has been set.
