Copper North Mining Corp. announces closing of non-brokered private placement

VANCOUVER, June 1, 2012 - Copper North Mining Corp. ("Copper North" or the "Company") (TSX.V: COL) announces the closing of the Company's non-brokered, private placement of 6,000,000 common shares of the Company (the "Shares") at a price of $0.167 per Share for aggregate gross proceeds of $1,002,000 (the "Private Placement").

The securities issued under the Private Placement are subject to a hold period and may not be traded until October 2, 2012.
