African Copper Plc - Notice of Annual General Meeting

LONDON, Aug. 26, 2011 - African Copper Plc ("African Copper" or "the Company") (AIM: ACU) (BOTSWANA: AFRICAN COPPER) announces that the Annual General Meeting of the Company will be held at 10.00 am on Friday 30 September 2011 at the offices of Tavistock Communications, 131 Finsbury Pavement, London EC2A 1NT.

The Notice of the AGM, together with the Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2011, is being posted to shareholders today. Electronic copies of the documents can be obtained from the Company's website from 26 August 2011 and hard copies are available from Tavistock Communications.


Notes to Editors: African Copper Plc is an AIM-listed copper producer and exploration company, currently focused on Botswana. The Company's flagship project is the copper producing open pit Mowana mine. ACU also owns the rights to the adjacent Thakadu-Makala deposit.
