PERTH, Australia, Oct. 12, 2011 /CNW/ - Elemental Minerals Ltd.
('Elemental' or the 'Company') advises that the Chairman, Mr Mark Jones has resigned as Director of Elemental due to personal reasons and to pursue other interests.Mr Jones has been instrumental to the Company since his appointment as a Director in June 2008 including securing the Sintoukola Potash Project in late 2009.
Mr Sam Middlemas has been appointed as Interim Chairman of the Board with immediate effect. The Board has initiated a search in order to identify additional independent board members consistent with the Company's strong recent growth and its evolution into a project developer.
Mr Iain Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer of the Company said, 'It is a great loss for the Company and on behalf of the Board, I thank Mark for his significant contribution to the Company and wish him well for the future.'
