ST. JOHN'S, NL, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - (TSXV: CQV) Canadian Imperial Venture Corp. (the “Company“ / “CIVC“) is pleased to announce the appointment of Tina Ricketts as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for CIVC.

“During my 15 years as CFO for the Company, Mrs. Ricketts served as my right hand so I really cannot think of someone better qualified for the CFO's position at CIVC,“ said Gerard Edwards, President and CEO of Canadian Imperial.

The Company also announces that Kirby Mercer, Director, Vice President and Corporate Secretary of CIVC, will retire from his current positions in the Company effective today, February 25, 2011. Mr. Mercer will cease to be engaged in the day-to-day business of the Company, however, he will continue to be accessible on a consulting basis.

“I would like to thank Mr. Mercer for his very valuable contribution to the Company over his many years of service and we look forward to our continued association in the months and years to come,“ said Mr. Edwards.
