Generation Uranium Identifies 17 High-Priority Targets at Yath Uranium Project, Nunavut

The Yath Project is strategically located within Nunavut's Angilak uranium district, one of Canada's most active emerging exploration camps. Generation's contiguous land position encompasses key portions of the Angilak trend, giving the Company direct exposure to fertile structural corridors, favourable lithologies, and proven mineralized trends that have historically delivered high-grade uranium discoveries.
Key Target Highlights
-
VGR Trend - a 5-kilometre mineralized corridor localized along a reactivated basement fault, characterized by pervasive alteration, sulphides, and radioactive structures traceable for more than 3 km.
-
Embryo Creek - historical grab samples assaying up to 9.81% U?O?, with associated copper, molybdenum, and silver, highlighting robust polymetallic potential.
-
Lucky Break - pitchblende and polymetallic sulphide mineralization recovered from shallow subcrop beneath till cover, located approximately 11 km from Lac Cinquante.
-
Additional zones - including Nest, BA-BB, Bog, IM-6, Boulder Lake, Amy's OC, and multiple satellite targets (see Table 1), each showing either significant radioactivity (often exceeding 10,000 cps) or surface assays supportive of uranium and polymetallic mineralization.
Chris Huggins, CEO of Generation Uranium, stated "the Yath Project provides direct leverage to one of Canada's most prospective uranium districts and that the identification of 17 robust target areas across the Company's land position underscores the potential for new discoveries in a proven uranium belt."
Geophysical Survey
As announced on August 22, 2024, Generation engaged Expert Geophysics Ltd. to complete a large-scale airborne Mobile MagnetoTellurics ("MMT") survey across the entire 123 km² Yath Uranium Project. The program comprised approximately 890 line-km at 150-metre spacing, collecting high-resolution magnetic, VLF, and EM data. The survey was conducted in collaboration with a neighbouring operator to achieve significant cost efficiencies.
The survey, now complete, represents a comprehensive geophysical dataset collected over Yath. Generation is currently reviewing its portion of the results, in combination with extensive historical exploration records, to refine and prioritize drill-ready targets. The Company expects to release its MMT interpretations in the near term as part of its ongoing work to advance the project toward discovery.
