S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Deletion from the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index

TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2017 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:  

Under a court-approved Arrangement Agreement, Trilogy Energy Corp. (TSX:TET) will merge with Paramount Resources Ltd. (TSX:POU). Terms are 1 share of POU for every 3.75 shares of TET. Trilogy Energy Corp. will be removed from the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index prior to the open of trading on Monday, September 18, 2017. At the same time, the relative weight of Paramount Resources will increase in relevant indices to reflect the issuance of shares as part of the transaction.
