VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/11 -- Opawica Explorations Inc. (TSX VENTURE: OPW) ('Opawica' or the 'Company'). Further to its news releases of November 7, 2011 and November 23, 2011, the Company is pleased to announce that it has received $190,000 from the placement of 3,800,000 units (the 'Units') at a price of $0.05 per Unit, each Unit consisting of one flow-through common share and one share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant entitling the holder to acquire a common share of the Company at a price of $0.10 per share for a term of two years.
All securities issued in connection with the placement are subject to a hold period expiring March 31, 2012.
Proceeds from this placement will be used for general working capital.
