Alcoa Foundation Elects Four New Board Members

Alcoa Foundation, one of the largest corporate foundations in the U.S.,
announced today that it has elected four new members to its board
of directors.
- Raymond B. Mitchell,Vice President, Alcoa and
President, Alcoa Power and Propulsion
- Tim D. Myers, President, Alcoa Wheel and Transportation
Products
- William J. O'Rourke, Vice President, Alcoa,
Sustainability and Environment, Health and Safety
- Shannon Parks, Project Leader, Alcoa, Environmental
Science and Sustainable Technology

leaders who bring a variety of experiences, expertise and networks that
will contribute to our work around the environment and education,? said

fields as well as a profound commitment to their communities. We are

Biographical information follows:
- Raymond B. Mitchell
Ray Mitchell is Vice President of
Alcoa and President of Alcoa Power and Propulsion, a global leader in
airfoil and structural investment castings for the aerospace, defense,
energy and industrial markets. Its technology-leading products are
used primarily in jet engines and industrial gas turbines. With 22
production facilities worldwide, Alcoa Power and Propulsion employs
approximately 9,000 people. Ray is also a member of Alcoa′s Employee
Relations Council, a leadership team that provides strategic guidance
on employee relations matters throughout the company′s U.S. operations.
- Tim D. Myers
Tim Myers is President, Alcoa Wheel and
Transportation Products (AWTP), responsible for forged wheels and
aluminum structures. This global business serves customers in the
commercial vehicle, defense and automotive markets with products used
in a range of applications including forged aluminum wheels, and niche
products such as Dura-Bright ® and Dura-Flange ® wheels, LvL One? truck
wheels, Wheel Torque Solutions as well as other aluminum components.
AWTP has operations in North America, Europe, Russia, South Africa,
Australia and Japan.
- William J. O'Rourke
Bill O′Rourke isVice
President, Sustainability and Environment, Health and Safety and is
responsible for corporate EHS functions, remediation EHS services, and
the Alcoa′s sustainability function. Over his career Bill held a
number of positions including Vice President of Global Business
Services, Chief Information Officer, Corporate Patent Counsel and
President of Alcoa-Russia. Bill will officially retire from Alcoa
August 31, but will continue his service on the Alcoa Foundation board.
- Shannon L. Isovitsch Parks
Shannon Parks, is Project
Leader, Environmental Science & Sustainable Technologyand
leads sustainable water research and development projects at the Alcoa
Technical Center (ATC). Dr. Parks′ current research focuses on the
development of sustainable water treatment technologies such as
constructed wetlands and natural media filtration. Over the last three
years, she has been involved in the development of a Novel Ecological
Water Treatment (NEWT) system using wetlands and bauxite residue. This
project won Alcoa′s highest recognition ? an Impact Award ? and is
currently being deployed in different areas of the world.
