Sydney, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Sovereign Gold Company Ltd. (ASX:SOC) (Sovereign) advise that David Hughes retired as Company Secretary on 31 July 2013.

David Hughes was appointed in August 2010 and has served the Company since prior to Sovereign's listing.

Directors' express their appreciation to David and wish him a successful future and well-earned retirement.

Julian Rockett has been appointed Joint Company Secretary effective immediately.
