Diamondback Energy Inc. und Energen Corporation gaben kürzlich bekannt, dass Diamondback im Rahmen einer reinen Aktientransaktion alle Anteile von Energen erwerben wird. Der Gesamtwert der Übernahme beläuft sich auf 9,2 Mrd. $. Dabei wird Diamondback auch die Nettoschulden in Höhe von 830 Mio. $ übernehmen, die Energen zum 30. Juni 2018 hatte.
